May is Mental Health Awareness Month

This month, and every month, I’m committed to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting meaningful change in mental health.

Here are some updates and supportive resources for this month:

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – I’m honored to join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (National Capital Area Chapter) as a new volunteer and to serve on the planning committee for PAWS for Prevention, taking place on June 28 at Snouts & Stouts in Arlington, VA. Donations are welcome.

Chasing Red Flags – On May 7, Chasing Red Flags will release an update to my first published story, “How Yoga Saved Me” (originally published in 2016). This deeply personal narrative offers hope and support for anyone navigating mental health challenges, and brings opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and empowerment. Read my story on the blog.
